Many people are used to hearing about essential oils or floral waters. Yet if you were to ask people what a hydrosol is? You might get a blank stare from people. Herbalists and people who like to create botanicals are usually more familiar with with this type of product.

Sandalwood Hydrosol Water
If you’ve been wondering how to use hydrosols. Now you have a basic idea of where to start. If you like to create your own lotions, creams or soaps it will allow you to experiment with different combinations. There are so many different hydrosols to work with.
Because the hydrosols are lighter scents than the essential oils. It will allow you to combine different ingredients til you find the blend that works best for you.
According to the history of frankincense, there are five species of frankincense suitable for incense. Boswellia carterii or B. freraeana. Also,
B. carterii (or B. sacra, and called olibanum or dragon’s blood). Some people who use incense may be familiar with dragon’s blood but might not have realized it was a form of frankincense. Additionally, B. frereana and B. thurifera grow in northern Somalia. B. papyrifera grows in Ethiopia and Sudan and produces a transparent, oily resin. Another species B. serrata is Indian frankincense.
Dragon’s Blood:
Dragon’s blood which is referenced has been known to clear negative energy out of space. So it’s not surprising that it’s actually part of the frankincense family.
Incense:
When used as an incense, it has a telling smell if there is still some residue left in the space or room you are clearing. You will smell a pleasant smell when the negative entity is no longer present. It will tend to have a powdery floral smell.
Burning incense was used in weddings, childbirth and funerals. It has also been used in aromatherapy and perfumery.
It’s popularity dates back to 1500 B.C. The smoke from frankincense is said to calm one’s mood.

Before you apply your moisturizer, first mist a bit of sandalwood on it, mix up then rub it on your face.
Eczema or Psoriasis Compress : Soak a cotton round with sandalwood hydrosol and compress the affected area. This promotes healing of the raw skin underneath so it is less painful when the top layers peel away.

Steam extracted:
